Does Kids First accept TRICARE?
Yes. Kids First is a TRICARE-authorized ABA provider and we welcome military families on both TRICARE Prime and TRICARE Select. Our intake team verifies your specific plan and benefits before you commit to anything, so you'll know exactly where you stand.
What do I need to start ABA therapy with TRICARE?
You'll need your TRICARE beneficiary details (sponsor's information and your child's DoD Benefits Number), a formal autism diagnosis, and a referral for ABA services. If you don't have the referral yet, call us and we'll walk you through how to get one — it's usually the step families find most confusing, and we handle most of the paperwork from there.
How long does the TRICARE authorization process take?
Most authorisations come back within [X business days]. We submit the request, chase it, and keep you updated — and we can book your assessment while it's pending.
